Business Grant Available
The Green Business Engagement National Network (GBENN) and Intuit, the maker of Quickbooks, have partnered to help small businesses in four states save energy and money by implementing energy efficiency upgrades so businesses can operate more sustainably. For a limited time, rebates up to $1,000 will be awarded to about 180 businesses nationally, including Illinois. This program will help small businesses reduce utility costs, upgrade current equipment, reduce energy use and emissions, and receive recognition for their environmental actions. Examples of qualifying projects include, but are not limited to, LED lighting upgrades, EV charging stations, and HVAC maintenance. To qualify, businesses must be located in Arizona, Illinois, Oregon, or Nevada; have fewer than 100 employees or have less than or equal to $2.5M revenue annually; meet any requirements set forth by the state’s green business program; complete projects by May 30, 2025; and be willing to have their impact story featured nationally. Illinois businesses can apply through the Illinois Green Business Association.
